Ply3D keeps the minimum needed for your account and license to work. Your designs never leave your Mac.
What we store
- Your account: your email and your hashed password (the password itself is never stored).
- Your Macs: an anonymous identifier for each Mac you sign in on, the name you gave it and when the license was last checked. It enforces the limit of 2 Macs per account.
- Your subscription: its status and renewal date, as reported by Lemon Squeezy.
- Education license: if you request one, the school, country, school email and the proof link you send us.
What we don't store
- Your designs, files or parts. They're saved only on your Mac.
- What you tell your AI assistant. The MCP connection is local, between the app and the assistant you choose; that assistant follows its provider's terms.
- Card details: Lemon Squeezy handles them.
- We don't use analytics or advertising tools in the app or on this website.
Who it's shared with
- Lemon Squeezy processes payments as the reseller (Merchant of Record) and handles taxes and invoices.
- Amazon Web Services hosts the account server and sends account emails (Amazon SES).
- Google Fonts serves this website's typefaces, so your browser connects to Google when you open it.
